“Don’t Quit On Clean Energy:” CE4A Unveils Petition To Congress Alongside Business Leaders and WH Climate Advisor

In one voice, nearly 400 business leaders, supporters, and workers from 80 clean energy companies told Congress: “Don’t Quit on Clean Energy.” They did so in a petition organized by Clean Energy for America (CE4A) and then unveiled at a recent press conference featuring Ali Zaidi, Deputy National Climate Advisor for President Biden, as well as four, leading clean energy workers with CleanCapital, Q CELLS North America, Hemlock Semiconductor Operations, and Bloom Energy.

At the February 17th event, the speakers agreed: Congress can and must unleash the American clean energy industry to cut pollution for communities and costs for families, while growing jobs and supporting American energy independence.

Plus, inaction would be very, very costly. "The U.S. has fallen significantly behind as a clean energy manufacturer and innovator,” said Scott Moskowitz, Q CELLS North America’s director of public affairs. “Without congressional action, our supply chains will remain strained, our climate objectives will fall out of reach, and other countries will lead the global energy transition.”

We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to set our economy and our children's future up for success. That’s why we, the voice of the clean energy workforce, are demanding that Congress does not quit on clean energy. America cannot afford inaction.
