Clean Energy Spotlight: Sweta Chakraborty, PhD
The clean energy economy is two-fold: supply-side and demand-side. Dr. Sweta Chakraborty is an expert on what clean energy demand should, could, and would be.
A globally recognized risk and behavioral scientist, Sweta is an expert on global risks ranging from climate change to COVID-19. Her climate work shows consumers the financial and climate benefits of adopting clean energy. That includes regular media interviews from podcasts to MSNBC, high profile speaking engagements like TED and SXSW, former work as co-host of the live weekly radio show “Risky Behavior” on Eaton Radio and host and producer of The Center for Climate and Security’s “The Climate and Security Podcast.” Further, she was featured alongside Vice President Kamala Harris for an Earth Day 2021 special on Discovery+.
But, that’s not all she does, because in many ways, she does it all. Sweta is the President of US Operations for We Don't Have Time, Partner at Pioneer Public Affairs, and the head of Top Tier Impact's Policy Action Unit, and founder and principal of Adapt to Thrive.
Dr. Chakraborty is a wealth of knowledge, and she uses that to change attitudes, empower audiences, and inspire action. That’s why she is our Clean Energy Spotlight this week.
