Clean Energy for America Statement on Anniversary of President Biden’s American Rescue Plan

(Washington, D.C.) – Friday marks the one-year anniversary of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), President Biden’s initiative that delivered historic assistance to protect American jobs, well-being, and on-going work to decarbonize our economy.

 In recognition of the ARPA anniversary, CE4A’s Executive Director Andrew Reagan released the following statement:

“ARPA is a strong and necessary investment in America, and it directs vital funding to technologies that decarbonize our economy such as public transit and electric school buses. The law is delivering on its promise to rescue the American economy from the pandemic’s worst impacts. And, it is laying the groundwork for continued clean energy investment. That’s why we celebrate this anniversary—for what the American Rescue Plan did and what it represents. We urge the Biden Administration to continue being bold to fulfill its promises to workers and families on climate and clean energy.”
