RELEASE: As Biden Signs Bill Into Law, Clean Energy for America Launches Five-Figure Ad Buy to Thank 10 Senators on Inflation Reduction Act
(Washington, D.C.) – This week, Clean Energy for America (CE4A) launched a five-figure digital ad buy in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, and Washington, D.C. to thank 10 U.S. senators in particular for their work in passing the Inflation Reduction Act, which President Biden is signing into law today.
The ads will run in the Arizona Republic, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and Politico. The state ads will thank Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly of Arizona, Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, and Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock of Georgia. The Washington, D.C. ads will thank Senators Chuck Schumer, Chris Coons, John Hickenlooper, Tina Smith, and Ron Wyden.
“Every one of these senators showed incredible dedication to the 3-million workers who power America’s clean energy industry,” said Andrew Reagan, executive director of CE4A. “We are grateful to these Senators and their colleagues for passing the Inflation Reduction Act which will lower costs for consumers, spur domestic manufacturing, and strengthen American energy independence.
Clean energy jobs have already become an important part of the U.S. economy, and especially so for Arizona, Georgia and Nevada. According to a recent report from E2, Arizona has over 59,000 clean energy jobs, Georgia has over 75,000, and Nevada has over 32,000. The new law, and its $369 billion in clean energy investments are expected to create even more. There could be as many as 9-million new jobs created over the next 10 years, according to new research from the BlueGreen Alliance from the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
For example, in Arizona, 3,000 new jobs are expected at KORE Power’s new lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, the first owned entirely by a U.S. company. In Georgia, Qcells North America’s new solar panel manufacturing facility is expected to create another 500 new jobs.
