*October 22 Media Call* Costlier, Weaker, Deadlier: Experts Warn of Real Economic Danger of Project 2025 for America’s Clean Energy Industry
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – On Tuesday, October 22 at 1pm ET / 10am PT, leading clean energy experts will join a media call on the dangers of Project 2025 for America’s booming clean energy industry. The latest modeling on Project 2025’s impacts, including nationwide and state-specific estimates from non-partisan analysts at Energy Innovation, have found that the policies will lead to significant job and GDP losses, higher household energy costs, and higher pollution. Meanwhile, businesses are sounding alarms. E2’s new survey of more than 900 clean energy businesses found companies fear that “repealing or rolling back the landmark climate and clean energy law would result in substantial losses, layoffs, and closures.”
During the call, the panel of experts will discuss the economic dangers of Project 2025 for America’s clean energy boom, and the panelists will answer questions from media.

More:
In 2022, with the Biden-Harris Inflation Reduction Act, the U.S. made historic investments in domestic manufacturing and deployment of clean energy, putting the country on a path to cut pollution, lower consumers’ energy bills by over $1,000 per year, and create millions of new, good-paying jobs. It’s worked: Over 300,000 new jobs have been created in the last two years, and investment in clean energy manufacturing has exploded.
However, as Evergreen Action has noted, Trump’s Project 2025 would derail these booming industries, with America’s GDP plummeting $320 billion per year by 2030 and $150 billion per year by 2050, the loss of 1.7 million jobs in 2030, and 260,000 lost jobs in 2050. Doubling down on a path of fossil fuels will mean more expensive and polluting forms of electricity and transportation, resulting in a projected increase of 771,000 asthma attacks and 25,300 early deaths by 2050 and an additional $32 billion and $30 billion in household energy costs in 2030 and 2050, respectively.
