CE4A Highlights Key Climate Policy Differences from Tonight’s Presidential Debate

WASHINGTON, DC — Tonight, ABC News hosted a presidential debate between nominees Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. In response, CE4A Executive Director Andrew Reagan released the following statement:

“Tonight’s debate underscored the important contrast between these candidates on climate investments and clean energy jobs. Former President Donald Trump wants to send U.S. clean energy jobs overseas. Meanwhile, Vice President Harris wants to keep them in the U.S. and keep adding to the hundreds of thousands of jobs that have already been spurred since the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.

“The stakes are clear: Harris is committed to building on U.S. clean energy leadership that lowers prices for our consumers, creates careers for our workers, and protects our security. Meanwhile, Trump’s plans would take us backward, threatening jobs and historical investments.”
