Clean Energy Spotlight: Pranav Myana

This week’s #cleanenergyspotlight is Pranav Myana, an impressive 19-year-old #cleanenergy entrepreneur. He is founder and CEO of Amaterra Tech

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Amaterra Tech is a grid management company. He founded it during a trip to visit extended family in India. “During the trip, I learned about a tragedy that occurred in the area,” he explained in his profile with Faces of Clean Energy. “This tragedy was sparked by the inability of the government and energy providers to bring energy to my people. This made the primary industry of the town unable to produce goods. This led to hundreds of deaths, including those of my relatives. After I learned about this, I understood just how fundamental energy was to our lives. The next day, I decided to start Amaterra Tech.”

Myana attended the University of Texas, Austin, so this work has local meaning too.

“Texas has been experiencing extreme heat waves recently,” he said, “but clean energy has been able to pick up the slack and allows people to still get energy.”

Congratulations, Pranav, and thank you for enabling more people to save with #cleanenergy.
