Clean Energy Spotlight: Bruno Gransard

This week’s #cleanenergyspotlight is Bruno Grandsard, managing director at Midori Climate Capital & Services, which advises and funds #cleantech startups like Ynsect.

For Gransard, his interest in #cleanenergy started “as a child during the first set of oil shocks,” as he told the Faces of Clean Energy Program. But his first professional experience in sustainability came in 2003, when he joined AllianceBernstein, the global asset management firm. Then in 2021, he joined Midori Climate Capital & Services.

Across his career, in which he’s worked in #climatetech and #ESG, Gransard has helped companies achieve their sustainability goals “to tackle climate change… totalitarian regimes funded through fossil fuels… and more!”

And, he feels very optimistic about the “potential in innovative startups” and their long-term value compared to fossil fuels. “The multiplier effect of clean energy investments on jobs, health, national security and climate are much, much higher than fossil fuels.”

Congratulations, Bruno, and thank you for investing in America’s #cleanenergy future.
