Clean Energy Spotlight: Jason Salfi

This week's #cleanenergyspotlight is a clean energy entrepreneur whose company can create sustainable fuels ~out of thin air~. But first, do you know someone who should be celebrated for their #cleanenergy leadership? Name them in the comments below, and they could be featured in our next Clean Energy Spotlight.

This week’s spotlight is Jason Salfi, the Co-Founder and CEO of Dimensional Energy, His #cleantech company can transform carbon dioxide into sustainable jet fuel and other products that people use every day. This week, they celebrated the grand opening of their first-of-a-kind testing facility in Tucson, Arizona. As Jason describes it “Dimensional Energy is addressing difficult-to-electrify and difficult-to-decarbonize sectors of our economy by producing carbon-neutral fuels from CO2 and renewable energy”

Jason began his career studying Natural Resources Management at Cornell University. After graduation he founded Comet skateboards, a sustainable skateboard manufacturing company, serving as president from 1997 until 2015 when he began working as an entrepreneur in residence at NYSERDA, later becoming an Innovation Advisor where he worked to operationalize the newly passed CLCPA (climate leadership and community protection act) NYS green new deal. Throughout his career, he has been focused on climate and sustainability. Why? In a NASDAQ interview, he said, “#Climatechange has the greatest effect on the developing world and at-risk populations in the developed world. Our long-term goal is to create well-paying tradesperson jobs in the #cleanenergy sector.”

Thank you, Jason, for your work to create #cleanenergy solutions and congratulations on being this week’s #cleanenergyspotlight.
