NEW VOTE CLEAN ENERGY CAMPAIGN SEEKS TO LEVERAGE THE GROWING POLITICAL POWER OF THE CLEAN ENERGY INDUSTRY AND WORKERS
New 6-Figure Campaign Seeks to Galvanize Support for VP Kamala Harris, Clean Energy Candidates
(Washington, DC) -- With the clean energy industry experiencing a massive expansion that includes billions in investments and more than 300,000 new workers since 2022, a new campaign seeks to galvanize the industry’s growing political clout behind Vice President Kamala Harris and clean energy candidates in Senate and House races.
Vote Clean Energy, a partnership between Clean Energy for America Action and the Solar Voters Alliance, will spend six figures on organizing clean energy workers to vote for clean energy candidates in November. The campaign will focus on political battleground states hoping to secure enough votes to make the difference in putting clean energy candidates over the top this election.
“This is the most important election in history for the clean energy industry,” said Andrew Reagan of Clean Energy for America Action. “The choice is clear: we can support Kamala Haris and her strong clean energy record including the largest clean energy investments in history or we can let a man who shook down Big Oil and Gas with a promise to do their bidding in exchange for a $1 billion campaign contribution roll back the historic progress we’ve seen in the last 4 years. The clean energy industry can make the difference in close contests in swing states and our goal is to make that happen.”
The Vote Clean Energy campaign kicks off on August 7 with a six-figure digital campaign and a social media push. The campaign will be active in battleground states including Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Georgia, and others. The campaign will drive voter participation through Election Day.
