RELEASE: “Clean Energy Majority Makers” Candidate Slate Announced by CE4A
(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Clean Energy for America (CE4A) announced the initial “Clean Energy Majority Makers,” a slate of 17 candidates for congressional office that CE4A will support in the 2022 elections.
The Majority Makers program is a new effort by CE4A to elevate federal candidates who are critical to ensuring pro-clean energy majorities in the House and Senate, so Congress can advance the fight for clean energy investments, climate action, and environmental justice. CE4A plans to support the candidates by mobilizing volunteers to organize events and Get-Out-The-Vote efforts.
“Our Clean Energy Majority Makers are clean energy champions and deserve full-throated support from every voter who wants to see our industry grow and thrive,” said Andrew Reagan, executive director of Clean Energy for America, the voice of the 3-million strong clean energy workforce. “Clean power is the present and future of American energy, and we need elected officials at all levels of government who’ll invest in this industry and its workers.”
