STATEMENT: CE4A’s Andrew Reagan on House Republicans’ Vote to Defund Clean Energy Jobs and Repeal Job-Creating Inflation Reduction Act

(Washington, D.C.) – In response to House Republicans successfully passing their measure to defund clean energy jobs and repeal job-creating provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), CE4A Executive Director Andrew Reagan released the following statement:

“This wrongheaded, job-endangering vote is an insult to so many of America’s families, businesses and workers for whom the Inflation Reduction Act’s investments are delivering good-paying jobs and lower energy bills. House Republicans showed that they don’t care about America's clean energy workers by voting to defund 142,000 new jobs the IRA has already created and 9 million jobs the law is projected to create. House Republicans should know better, and America’s clean energy workers deserve better.”
