Clean Energy for America Statement on Biden’s State of the Union Address

(Washington, D.C.) – Tonight, President Biden delivered the annual State of the Union Address. In response, CE4A Executive Director Andrew Reagan released the following statement:

“Tonight, the president rightly took a victory lap on his clean energy accomplishments, and he included them among his shortlist of true difference-making policies. He’s right: Unemployment is historically low, manufacturing is back, worker pay is up, and inflation is receding. And you don’t have those economic achievements without having made such historic investments in U.S. workers and consumers in the Inflation Reduction Act, the bipartisan infrastructure law, and the Chips and Science Act. Clean energy wins for all. 

“In so many words, the president told the American people tonight that the state of the union is resilient, the future is renewables, and the benefits are equitable and made in America. That’s the power of investing in U.S. clean energy workers.”
