“A Really Marvelous Thing”: With CE4A Help, Dimensional Energy Hosts Grand Opening in Tucson, AZ

On December 6, Dimensional Energy hosted the grand opening of its new test facility at the UA Tech Park in Tucson, Arizona. Clean Energy for America was proud to help the climate tech startup promote the celebration, which was attended by members of the press and the offices of state and local elected leaders. They were on hand for remarks and the ribbon cutting featuring  Dimensional Energy CEO, Jason Salfi, New Climate Ventures’ Eric Rubenstein, and United Airline Ventures president, Mike Leskinen. (Plus: Because the event was so well-covered in the press, you can read all about it in the Phoenix Business Journal, the Arizona Daily Star, and the Tucson Sentinel.)

At this facility, Dimensional will produce vital products like sustainable jet fuel using sunlight, CO2, and water. In fact, the company has already secured a fuel purchase agreement for 300 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel with United Airlines.

“We could remove the very source of carbon emissions and use past emissions to actually make the fuels and products that we make every day with clean energy and carbon dioxide,” said CEO Jason Salfi during the event. “That's a really marvelous thing.”

Decarbonization is vital for the U.S. economy, but not every sector is easy to electrify. “Air travel is going to be one of the most difficult Industries to decarbonize,” said Mike Leskinin from United Airlines. “It takes intrepid entrepreneurs like Jason to do it the right way, which is a harder way to decarbonize the business.”

Eric Rubenstein from New Climate Ventures spoke at the event about the exciting and innovative ways that Dimensional functions in the clean energy industry: “Dimensional Energy is actually creating things that we know today and that we can touch and smell and understand.”

Congratulations to the Dimensional Energy team!

P.S. If your company is interested in promoting an announcement, and you would like it to succeed like Dimensional's, CE4A can partner with you too. Contact craig@ceforamerica.org to learn more.
