(Washington, D.C.) – Today, House Republicans released an energy plan that falls far short of what American families and clean energy workers need to address costs and pollution. In response, Andrew Reagan, executive director of Clean Energy for America, released this statement.
“By refusing to free the U.S. from globally-priced fossil fuels, Republicans are saying that it’s okay for Vladimir Putin to continue to have a trump card over Americans’ energy bills. What we need is real energy security, and that’s only available thorough clean energy not at the bottom of a well. Anything that doubles down on vulnerable oil and gas isn’t a serious plan — it’s a distraction.”
