Clean Energy for America Announces Board of Directors, First Executive Director to Lead Nationwide Mobilization

Building Off 2020 Success, CE4A Set to Mobilize Tens of Thousands of Clean Energy Voices to Make the Economic Case for Clean Energy Investments

Washington, D.C. — Today, Clean Energy for America (CE4A) — a new national organization committed to advancing an equitable and inclusive clean energy economy to address climate change — announced its senior leadership as it prepares to launch advocacy efforts in support of clean energy investments from coast to coast. CE4A’s 13-member board of directors draws from among top leaders in the clean energy sector as well as energy policy experts with years of government service, both in Congress and the Executive Branch. (The names of CE4A’s board of directors are provided below.) Andrew Reagan, who has served as the Executive Director of the Texas House Democratic Campaign Committee and Political Manager at EDF Action, was named CE4A’s Executive Director.

At the same time, CE4A announced the formation and leadership of an affiliate, the Clean Energy for America Education Fund (CE4A Ed Fund), a charitable organization that will focus on public education, research, and study of clean energy proposals and policies. CE4A Ed Fund will be led by a 10-member board of directors drawing from a cross-section of clean energy experience and expertise. (The names of CE4A Ed Fund’s board of directors are listed below).

CE4A seeks to build upon the successes of Clean Energy for Biden (CE4B), an all-volunteer network of more than 17,000 clean energy business leaders and activists who came together on Earth Day 2020 to elect Joe Biden. CE4B’s network raised $3.2M at 100+ virtual fundraisers nationwide and held hundreds of phone banks to mobilize voters to elect Joe Biden president. The CE4B network then quickly turned to raising funds and mobilizing voters to elect Senators Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff in the Georgia run-off elections.

CE4A plans to reactivate, expand, and mobilize the CE4B network to build a powerful political base and develop relationships to demonstrate broad public support for clean energy policies and for the policymakers who take strong action in furtherance of those policies.
