Clean Energy for America’s Statement on New EPA Clean Car Standards

Today, President Biden’s U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced final national pollution standards for passenger cars, light-duty trucks, and medium-duty vehicles for model years 2027 through 2032 and beyond. In response, CE4A Executive Director Andrew Reagan released the following statement:

“I applaud these rules, which will spur more job-creating, cost-saving, and pollution-cutting electric vehicles (EVs). More EVs are good for America’s consumers and workers. It’s that simple.”

“The new light-duty vehicles emission standards from President Biden’s EPA will reduce energy costs, create more clean energy jobs, and keep the U.S. auto-industry as a leader worldwide. “

“They’ll strengthen the environment, create more clean energy jobs while driving cost savings for communities across the country. There’s a lot to celebrate here, and we are celebrating.”
