WASHINGTON, DC — Today, in response to President Donald Trump’s executive orders during his first week in office, CE4A Executive Director Andrew Reagan issued the following statement:

“President Trump took office promising to create jobs, grow America’s manufacturing capabilities, and ensure our dominance in the global economy. His initial executive orders during his first days in office undermine these promises. In this era of extreme American economic opportunity and record load growth, we need a host of energy resources to meet the moment, including energy storage, hydrogen, solar, wind, and fusion — all of which are essential for economic prosperity. 

Whether it’s a freeze on funding for clean energy programs or blocking new energy projects, delaying or outright eliminating investments in our infrastructure and American businesses does not serve the American people and compromises energy security.

“We encourage President Trump to truly deliver on his promises to lower energy bills and make our nation stronger, more competitive, and more resilient. Clean Energy for America 

believes that building an America-first clean energy economy will require us to deploy all the resources at our disposal and double down on new, clean, innovative technologies.
