WASHINGTON, DC — Following President Trump’s executive orders, which have thrown federal clean energy investments into uncertainty, CE4A President Andrew Reagan issued the following statement:
“Clean energy programs, grants, and investments remain stalled due to President Trump’s recent Executive Order, leaving businesses and workers in limbo. Pausing critical funding from the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a direct threat to job growth, American manufacturing, and our energy security.
“The disruptions caused by this executive order and subsequent OMB guidance are forcing businesses to reconsider their investments risking the loss of jobs. Already, projects under contract like Solar For All have been put in limbo. State and local governments may soon face difficult choices about how to move forward without clear federal support.
“We need immediate clarity from the White House and a commitment to protecting the clean energy economy that has created hundreds of thousands of jobs and strengthened America’s global competitiveness. The administration must prioritize stability and economic opportunity and stop any efforts that undercut American jobs.”.”
