Clean Energy for America (CE4A) today announced the launch of a cross-country, targeted billboard advertising campaign in key districts following the passage of Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill. The ad campaign highlights how Republicans’ budget bill will increase electricity costs for families, eliminate thousands of jobs, and cancel billions in economic investments—directly impacting the constituents of the very lawmakers who voted for it.

The accountability campaign will target seven House Republicans nationwide who voted to eliminate critical energy tax credits that were driving manufacturing growth, creating thousands of jobs, and reducing energy costs for consumers. By supporting Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill, these representatives are handing a competitive advantage to foreign rivals like China while saddling their own constituents with higher energy bills, lost employment opportunities, and canceled economic investments.

Across the country, nearly 3.5 million Americans work every day to deliver clean energy to the grid. In 2023 alone, clean energy companies added more than 150,000 jobs to the market, with every sector of the clean energy economy growing at least twice as fast as overall national employment. Clean energy tax credits have ushered in historic investments to counties across the country, particularly in Republican-held districts, generating more than $840 billion in total investments.
