Powering America 201: Building Our Electric Grid for the 21st Century

As Summer weather sets in, rising temperatures and more frequent storms are once again shining the spotlight on our nation’s electric grid. While clean energy sources can provide long-term solutions to energy security and stability, in order to fully realize that potential we need to modernize and improve our electric grid and transmission infrastructure. CE4A will revisit our conversation from 2022 with the goal of educating the public and the media on the relationship between renewable energy and transmission infrastructure, the funding allocated for grid modernization from laws like the IRA/IIJA/CHIPs, what still needs to be addressed in future legislation, and the role the clean energy industry can play in this process.
